Privacy policy
This policy describes how Upliftiq Renovation Sdn Bhd (“Upliftiq”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information submitted through this site and during the course of a project engagement. It is written to be read by people who have to give us their details rather than by lawyers, while remaining compliant with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
What we collect
We collect what you give us. That is normally a name, an email address, a phone number, the property address, and a description of the project you are considering. If you proceed to engage us, we collect additional documentation including identification, billing addresses, and project-specific information needed to deliver the work.
We also collect basic technical information when you visit this site — the IP address your request arrives from, the type of browser you are using, and which pages you spent time on. We do this through anonymised analytics (when you have allowed it via the cookie consent banner) and through standard webserver logs.
How we use it
We use the information you submit to reply to your enquiry, to prepare a proposal, to deliver the project once contracted, and to handle the defect liability and any subsequent maintenance. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to anyone, ever.
Project documentation (photographs of the property, drawings, schedules) may be referenced internally for studio quality review and may — with your written permission only — be included in case studies or marketing materials. We will always ask before using identifiable images.
Who we share it with
We share project information only with the subcontracted trades and suppliers required to deliver the work, and only the information they need to do their job (e.g. a tile supplier needs the delivery address, not your phone number). We share legally required information with the relevant regulatory bodies if obliged to do so — for example, SPAN registration for licensed plumbers, or local authority permit submissions.
How long we keep it
Active project files are retained for the duration of the engagement plus the 12-month defect liability period plus 6 years (for tax and contract law compliance). After that period we securely delete personal information unless there is a continuing reason to retain it.
Your rights
Under the PDPA 2010 you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, and request deletion of information we no longer need to retain. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We respond within 14 working days.
